E751 series EMU has debuted in 2000 for replacement of an old EMU of 485
series limted express train. Orange, yellow, blue and white to be car
body color mean four seasons in North Japan of "Michinoku".
Because of running in cold and snow area on North Japan, this E751 has
cold and snow resistance specification. Because of blowing snow, the
electronic whistle and air whistle with shutters are arranged in the
bonnet. When the whistle sounded, we have designed so that it might seem
that the front of a train winked as one point accent.
